We are the world: una canzone di Natale speciale

Tra le canzoni di Natale più ascoltate ogni anno non manca mai We are the world, speciale per una serie di motivi. In primo luogo il messaggio del testo è particolarmente profondo e racconta di fratellanza, amore e pace in modo non banale. In più raggruppa artisti di grande fama ed è stata scritta nel 1985 dall’indimenticato Michael Jackson insieme con Lionel Ritchie. A produrla ci pensò Quincy Jones e fu incisa a scopo benefico da un gruppo noto della musica pop riunito sotto il nome di USA for Africa. I proventi  della vendita del pezzo, infatti, furono devoluti alla popolazione dell’Etiopia che si trovava in piena carestia.
